Proving Its Worth: How Small Businesses Succeed With AI-Powered Email Marketing Campaigns

More small business leaders are seeing what smart small-businesses marketers have long known: email marketing works.

44% of SMBs surveyed by Constant Contact now say email is their most effective channel, almost double the number from last year. 

“Email is consistently rated a top performer, particularly effective in tech (49%), retail and e-commerce (47%), and professional services (46%),” the report says. “Still, many aren’t fully leveraging these tools, often because they don’t know how to use them to their fullest potential.”

As for tools helping with that full potential, AI is clearly there, with almost half (48%) of SMBs having adopted the technology. Those that are using AI for such tasks as writing emails or subject lines are more likely to see success in email (53%, to 35% without AI) as well as reporting stronger search marketing results (21% with AI to 9% without AI).
