Of all the recent AI-driven search changes that marketers are adapting to, this goal, articulated so succinctly in NP Digital’s 2025 Organic Search Engine Trends report, speaks to exactly why adaptation is a must, by as many means necessary.
NP Digital’s research found that 43% of marketers are “changing their strategies” in response to more Search-users getting their answers without actually clicking. 58% of marketers are adapting with frequent content refreshes, 54% with schema markup, and 42% by analyzing genAI traffic shifts.
“Their focus now? Clear, scannable content that answers questions upfront,” the report says. “Structured data, brand mentions, and conversational formats are more important than ever.”

And contrary to other statistical and anecdotal findings, the battle isn’t entirely uphill. Since the launch of AI Overviews, 56% of marketers have already seen increased web traffic and 48% have seen revenue boosts from ads and affiliate links, according to NP Digital.
“From a traffic perspective, the panic might be overblown,” the report says. “It’s a strong signal that AIOs aren’t killing visibility. They’re just changing the rules of the game.”
